Japanese release poster Hunter × Hunter: Phantom Rouge (劇場版 HUNTER× HUNTER 緋色の幻影(ファントム・ルージュ Gekijō-ban HUNTER× HUNTER Fantomu Rūju?) is the first Japanese animated feature film based on the Hunter × Hunter franchise created by Yoshihiro Togashi. The film features the four main characters, Gon, Killua, Kurapika and Leorio reunited to face a dangerous individual who once was a member of their greatest enemies, the criminal organization Phantom Troupe. He wakes up along Gon on an airship. Upon arriving at their destination, they meet Leorio and learn that he and Kurapika were investigating a rumor about a survivor of Kurapika's Kuruta Clan until they meet a young boy whom Kurapika recognized as his childhood friend Pyro, who attacks him and steals his eyes. Uncounscious since then, Kurapika awakens beside the others and soon after he has visions through his stolen eyes of a man whose right palm is marked with a spider tattoo, the same used by the members of the Phantom Troupe. Based on other details seen by Kurapika in his vision, Gon and Killua leave him under Leorio's care and split up in search for Pyro's location. Gon ends up meeting and befriending a young puppeteer called Retz and when Killua reunites with him, they realize that Retz is a girl. When night falls, Leorio and Kurapika are approached by Hisoka while Gon and the others are attacked by Uvogin, who was presumed to be dead and saved by Nobunaga and Machi who defeat him. It is then revealed that Uvogin was revived as a puppet by Omokage, a former member of the Phantom Troupe who was.

Japan ha presentato il nuovo trailer dell’attesissimo secondo lungometraggio di Hunter X Hunter - The Last Mission che uscirà nelle sale nipponiche il 27 Dicembre. Ispirato allo shonen di Toshihiro Togashi, il primo film narra una storia che ruota principalmente attorno al personaggio di Kurapika e al suo desiderio di vendetta nei confronti della Brigata Fantasma per il massacro del suo clan. Nel film che uscirà a Natale si parlerà dell’unitaria Associazione degli Hunter che si divide in due fazioni: una della luce e una delle tenebre con quest'ultima che prende ad attaccare e eliminare i membri della prima coinvolgendo Killua e Kurapika che rimangono feriti. Dopo i crimini dell'associazione e un segreto oscuro del più forte Nen-user e presidente Netero da che parte staranno il protagonista Gon e Killua? Il film è diretto da Keiichiro Kawaguchi, scritto da Noobuaki Kishima, animato da Madhousee il video del trailer è accompagnato dalla canzone “ Yuouri Ittai” degli Yuzu cantato da Hyadain.
